HST 1504: Introduction to Humanities, Science, and Technology

Explores humanistic dimensions of science and technology, focusing on the following topics: (1) how scientific and technological work is conducted as a creative human enterprise; (2) how such work has influenced and been influenced by the larger society in which it functions; and (3) how ethical, religious, social, legal, and political issues emerge from scientific and technological developments. Explores these topics through specific examples or case studies.

This course is taught every semester and most summers. It fulfills:
